Richard DiMurro

Richard DiMurro, age 79, of Charlottesville, passed away unexpectedly at home on November 7, 2025. He was born on October 16, 1946, in Newark, New Jersey, to Benedict and Margaret DiMurro.

Richard attended Old Dominion University and the University of Virginia, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree. He dedicated his career to serving the community as a Probation Officer for thirty-two years. He retired in 2002 to enjoy his hobbies and passions.

On July 27, 1984, Richard married Donna, and together they shared forty-two years of marriage, making Charlottesville, Virginia, their home.

Richard had a love for music and enjoyed playing the keyboard, guitar, organ, & accordion. He found joy in traveling and camping. Richard was known as a talented cook who delighted family and friends with his culinary skills.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Donna DiMurro; step-daughters, Deborah (William) Salmons, Tammy (Barry) Nelson, and Wendi (Joseph) Burton; step-son, William (Jaime Worsky) Loving, Jr; several first cousins; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Monticello Memory Gardens in Charlottesville, Virginia, with Reverend Earl Levi Pendleton officiating.
