Richard "Rick" Joseph Domogalik, aged 51, of Zionsville, Indiana, went to be with the Lord early Sunday morning, February 11, 2024. His health took a sudden decline after he was diagnosed with cancer in August 2023.
Rick was born in Indianapolis on April 26, 1972 to Richard Lee Domogalik and Carol Ann Domogalik. He went to Ball State University to pursue a degree in Computer Science, which led to a career in the tech world. He was always highly passionate about his work, and was well-respected by his colleagues. Rick owned and operated EAG Consulting for nearly twenty years while also consulting with Lewis & Kappes Attorneys at Law as their Chief Information Officer and IT Director since 1999.
Rick is survived by his loving wife of twenty-six years, Amy Marie Domogalik. When they first met, they knew instantly that there was a connection between them, and were married less than a year later on October 4, 1997.
Rick is also survived by three wonderful daughters and their fiancés, Marie Elyse Domogalik, Dane Joseph Schafer, Claire Ashley Domogalik, Allison Grace Domogalik, and Connor Mitchell; his parents, Rick and Carol Domogalik; and sisters, Heather (Mike) Anderson and Wendy Clay. They are all rightfully saddened by the loss of his presence, but even more-so very glad to know he is finally home with our eternal father where his soul is finally at rest.
Rick fought hard until the very end physically, mentally, and, most importantly, spiritually. Throughout the hardships of these last few months, Rick had a very genuine and heartfelt encounter with God for which we are all eternally grateful. He always loved the Lord, but he made a conscious effort to show and share that love in the end when it mattered most.
If you take nothing else away from his memory, he would want you to know this: that God is good and ultimately the only thing that matters. Put Him first and you will see everything begin to fall into place for you and those around you. Our God is a loving and generous God; and all He asks of us is to seek to follow Him and put Him first. It will always be worth it and in your best interest to do so, no matter what.
Rick's visitation will be held on Thursday, February 15th from 5-8 P.M. at Aaron-Ruben-Nelson Mortuary, 11411 North Michigan Road, Zionsville, IN 46077. A funeral service will be held at the same location the following day, Friday, February 16th at 10 A.M. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery.
