Richard Douglas Donald Sr., 90, passed away on Fri. Dec. 29, 2023 at St. Dominic Memorial Hospital in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held on Tues. Jan. 2, 2024 from 10am-11am at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 11am on Tues. Jan. 2, 2024 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS with burial to follow in the Clifton Cemetery in Scott County, MS.
Mr. Donald was born on March 27, 1933 to the late Barnie Maxwell Donald and Myrtle Lovette Donald.
He is survived by his 3 children, Barney Donald (Lisa), Richard Douglas Donald Jr. (Sandra), and Connie Sumrall; 8 grandchildren, Matthew Sumrall, Angela Woodward (Kiley), John David Donald (Patricia), Richard Douglas Donald III (Melody), Adrienne Jordan (Jason), Keri Copeland, Shania Donald and Dannielle Stoliby (David) and Jonathan Nash; 11 great grandchildren, Preston Sumrall, Jonathon Sumrall, Charlie Donald, Jack Donald, Connor Douglas Donald, Hana Delaney (Colton), Michelle Hughes, Dennis Miller, Shyanne Nash, Addison Jordan, Savannah Jordan and 5 great-great grandchildren, Adaline Delaney, Willow Delaney, Graysen Stoliby, Deliha Stoliby, Lydia Stoliby and Paisley Hughes. Mr. Donald is also preceded in death by his wife, Shelby Donald; son, Edward Crisler Donald; 2 grandchildren, Christopher Kyle Copeland, Christopher Nash and extended family and friends.
