Richard D. Donovan, 82, of Saddle Brook, formerly of Lodi and Jersey City, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025. Born in Jersey City to the late Rose and Daniel Donovan. Richard received his Bachelors Degree from Jersey City State College. Before retiring, he was a chemistry teacher at Garfield High School for thirty-nine years. Beloved husband of Barbara (nee Wacker) Donovan. Devoted father of Richard Donovan and his wife Michele, Christopher Donovan and his wife Maria, and Susan Ortiz and her husband Stephen. Dear brother of Janet Pepe and her husband, Garrett, and the late Karen Cappadona and her late husband Charles. Loving grandfather of Elizabeth, Joseph, and Stephen. Richard is also survived by his nieces and nephews.

Funeral from Costa Memorial Home, Boulevard and Central Avenue Hasbrouck Heights on Friday, August 22nd at 9 AM. Funeral Liturgy from St. Francis de Sales R.C. Church 125 Union Street in Lodi at 10 AM. Entombment following at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington. Visitation Thursday, August 21st from 4 - 8 PM at the funeral home.
