Richard "Dick" A. Dowling passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at the age of 86.

Dick will be deeply missed by his wife of 56 years, Nancy Dowling (nee Capra), his daughter Stacy (Steven Lemson), and his sister Andrea Dowling.

He is predeceased by his parents Andrew and Edna Dowling, and his brother Barry.

Dick was an avid sports player and fan. He served two years in the Army at the Pentagon. He retired from McGraw Hill Publishing, F.W. Dodge division in 1998 . Retiring at an early age he enjoyed many years traveling with his family. An avid golfer he had a single digit handicap for many years. And when he was ready to join the work force again, he was a starter at the local golf course. A loving husband and father he will be missed.

There will be a private burial on September 3, at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd, Newtown, PA, 18940, military honors will begin promptly at 11:00am. A life celebration will be held at Gloria Dei Farms Independent Living in Hatboro, Pa. Family and friends will be notified of the date.

In lieu of flowers donation in Dick's memory can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
