On Friday, Nov 18, 2022, Richard, loving husband and father, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 75 at the Hyder House in Dover after a battle with Parkinson's.
Richard was born on May 19, 1947, in Rochester NH to Florence Drolet. Richard graduated from Dover High School, Class of 1965, the best class as he would say. After graduation, he eventually worked for the B&M Railroad, retiring after 40 years.
Nicknamed "The Mayor" by his friends, they often shared laughs and memories with a cold beverage in hand. Richard was the first in line to help his friends and was also considered to be quite a prankster. He never missed a chance to socialize or spend time with his friends and family.
But above all were the loves of his life: his wife Claire and daughters, Kim and Kelly. He had a very protective eye on all of them, they were his world. He also loved spending summers at his camp on Milton Three Ponds and wintering in Florida with his Favorite Brother In Law and Favorite Sister In Law.
Richard is survived by his soulmate, Claire of 55 years and his daughters Kim Bisson and Kelly Tibbs and her husband John Tibbs. Surviving grandchildren are Haley and Cameron Bisson and Olivia and Ava Tibbs as well as his favorite brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bob and MaryAnn Courchesne. He'll also be missed by his favorite grand-dog, Mr. Roger Tibbs.
Richard is predeceased by his mother, Florence Drolet, in 2003.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday December 10th at the Elks in Dover from 12-3pm.
