Richard H. Easton
September 20, 1948 – August 21, 2025
Richard Easton, 76, passed away on August 21, 2025, in Palm Beach Gardens with family and friends by his side. Richard was a loving son, husband, father, brother, and friend to many. He touched countless lives around the world.
He was a world traveler who visited many corners of the globe, which he enjoyed immensely in his later years, experiencing diverse cultures. Richard was a successful entrepreneur, establishing businesses still operating today, including Atlantic Diving, Atlantic Marine Limited, LLC, Easton Boatworks, and KingTide Investment Properties.
Alongside his brother Doug, he also ventured into owning a movie theatre, a worm farm, Black Diamond Limousine, and Atlantic Dock and Seawall. Richard served as a career counselor and scholarship coordinator with the Palm Beach County School Board for more than 30 years. He also held a Master of Science degree from Nova University. His kindness and generosity were felt by everyone who knew him.
Richard loved to garden on Sundays, watch sports on Saturday evenings, and ride his bike six miles every day. He lived a robust and active life. A passionate sports fan, he followed the Marlins, Dolphins, Braves, and Panthers and could talk knowledgeably about any of them. One of his favorite memories was attending, with family and friends, Game 7 of the 1997 World Series when the Marlins became the first expansion and wild card team to win the championship.
He graduated from Forest Hill High School, Palm Beach Community College, and Belmont Abbey College in North Carolina. Richard played baseball from the age of seven and earned baseball scholarships at PBCC and Belmont Abbey. Known for his easygoing personality, he made those around him feel important and comfortable.
Though he passed too soon, Richard lived a life full of adventure. He went on multiple safaris in South Africa, attended the Olympic Games in Paris, visited Dracula's Castle in Transylvania, saw the opera in Australia, dined in the sky in Croatia, joined a scientific expedition cruise to New Zealand and Antarctica, and visited Lahaina on the island of Maui-just to name a few of his many experiences. Richard will be deeply missed and always remembered by his friends and, especially, his family.
He is survived by his children, William (Billy) and his partner Cati, and Kayla and her partner Joseph; his brothers Douglas and his wife Jimena, and their son Dylan (and Sean from a previous marriage); and Michael and his wife Lynn, and their son Josh. He is also survived by his cousins Roger Nielsen and his wife Lynea, and their children Eric and Loren; Bob Stafford and his wife Norma Jean, and their children Robert and his wife Tori and their son Brayden, James and his wife Cheyenne and their children Cayden and Reese, and Scott and his wife Gwendolyn and their children Alisha and Andrew.
Richard was predeceased by his mother Laura, father Bob, aunt Millie, brothers Charles and Kenneth, niece Julie, and cousins Margie and Bobby.
A Celebration of Life will be held on September 20, 2025, at 3:00 p.m.
