Cumberland, MD- William Raymond Easton, 92, of Cumberland, MD, passed away on Friday, September 5, 2025 at Devlin Manor Health Care Center.
Born December 15, 1932 in Maryland, Mr. Easton was the son of the late Robert Levy Easton and Carrie Virginia (Miller) Easton.
William was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and retired from B&O Railroad where he was a conductor. He was a member of the American Legion Post #13, the V.F.W. Henry Hart Post # 1411, the Cresaptown Moose Lodge #271, and the NRA. He was a Firearm's instructor for several years and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He had a thirst for knowledge that could never be quenched.
William is survived by his sisters: Bobalyn Easton, Robalee Lewis, and Judy Letterman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A, 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD (www.adamsfamilyfuneralhome.com) on Friday, September 12, 2025 from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M.
A Committal service will be conducted at the Maryland Veterans' Cemetery at Rocky Gap on Friday, September 12, 2025 at 2:00 P.M.
Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the Post #13 Veterans Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the funeral home to offset expenses.
