Passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025 at the age of 78. Born August 15, 1946 the only child of Ernest and Bertha (Corbin) Emery at the old Stimson Hospital in Eaton Rapids, Michigan. Dick graduated from Eaton Rapids High School class of 1964. He worked for his father's full-service gas station in town, Emery's Mobile. Later he went on to work for Motor Wheel, working in various positions and retiring as an inspector. Dick enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He liked being outside and taking walks at Hawk Island and spending his birthdays at Potter Park Zoo. Dick was a big fan of Ronda Rousey and enjoyed watching her in action. Dick loved taking his family to Spartan Speedway every weekend for the races. He played cards and especially liked the Apba baseball game. Dick was loved by many and will be missed dearly by all who remember him. Preceding him in death were his parents.
Surviving is his wife, of 58 years, Rosiland Emery; sons, Robert Emery, Richard Emery Jr., Michael Emery and granddaughter, Ericka Emery.
Visitation for Dick will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025 from 1pm – 2pm with Funeral services starting at 2:00 pm at Skinner Funeral Home - Lansing Chapel. To share memories and condolences please visit www.SkinnerFuneralHomes.com
