Richard A. Faber, age 76, of Tinley Park, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Monday, July 10, 2023, with his loving family at his side. Survived by his wife of 43 years, Patricia (nee Paha) Faber, his children Daniel (Molly) Faber, Amanda (Jeremy) Mitchell, Richard Faber, and Joshua (Nicole Leyendecker) Faber, his grandchildren Eric Faber, Ava Mitchell and a grandchild on the way, his sister Beverly (Rollin) Parker and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Andrew and Dorothy Faber. Richard was a graduate of Rayen High School and Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio. Richard worked with the Internal Revenue Service his entire career, retiring after 37 years. Richard enjoyed Lionel Trains from an early age, building puzzles, vegetable gardening, and watching the Chicago White Sox and Bears. Richard also volunteered at Together We Cope food pantry in Tinley Park for several years. Visitation for Richard will be on Thursday, July 13, 2023, from 4-8:00 P.M. at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home. Funeral service will take place the next day Friday, July 14, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. also at the funeral home. Interment St. Joseph Guardian Angel, Manhattan will immediately follow.
