Richard S. Fleming

Richard S. Fleming, 76, of Conshohocken, PA passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Rita (Giannetti) Fleming for over 51 years. Richard was born in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia on October 3, 1946 to the late George and Anna (Stern) Fleming. Richard worked for Stroehmann Bakeries and later John Kennedy Ford for many years until his retirement. Richard was an avid swimmer as well as baseball and football player in High School. He played football on the 1963 championship team for Roxborough High School. He coached football for the Conshohocken Golden Bears 90 lb. and 105 lb. teams. Richard was a board member and KSL representative for the "Bears". He loved spending time at the family's shore house and enjoyed fishing and boating. He especially enjoyed time spent with family and teaching the little one's how to swim. His interests were many, including hunting, fishing, boating, water skiing and snow skiing. He loved to take road trips with his wife, Rita. He loved to work and missed it terribly when he had to give it up, but always kept in contact with his coworker. Along with his wife, Rita, he is survived by his two sons: John R. Fleming (Lina), Timothy G. Fleming (Michelle); his grandchildren John Fleming, Jr.; Mia Fleming; Timothy Fleming Jr.; Greyson Fleming and Felecia Heiglien Crump. Nieces: Christine Miller, Lisa Miller, Jill Horst; a nephew: Mark Fleming. And 8 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, William Fleming. Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Services on Friday, July 28, 2023 at 8 PM at the Emil J. Ciavarelli Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 516 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, PA 19428. A visitation will be from 5:30 PM to 8 PM at the Funeral Home. Interment will be held privately.
