Richard Gotter Obituary

Richard Lawrence Gotter age 85, passed away February 22, 2026. Rich was a graduate of Louisville High School class of 1958, proudly served in the United States Army and retired from Jones & Laughlin Steel Company after 42 years of employment. He enjoyed camping, fishing, boating and traveling in his motorhome with his wife, Carol.

Rich was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Carlotta Gotter, infant grandson, Patrick Minster, sister and brother-in-law, Eugenia and William Babeaux.

Rich is survived by his wife of 63 years, Carol; his children, Deborah (Rick) Minster of Louisville, Daniel (Jody) Gotter of South Carolina, and Mark (Kelly) Gotter of Massillon. Rick is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; brothers, William Gotter of Louisville and Tom (Sandy) Gotter of Cuyahoga Falls.

Calling hours will be held Thursday, February 26, 2026 from 5:00-7:00pm at Paquelet Falk Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 27, at Paquelet Falk Funeral Home. Interment will follow in St. Louis Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Louis Catholic Church, Louisville, Ohio.
