Richard (Dutch) Hagedorn October 8, 1945 - April 24, 2023
Richard (Dutch) Hagedorn, age 77, of Tyler Texas was called home on April 24, 2023. He resided in the Michigan Veterans Home in Chesterfield, Michigan.
Graveside services will be held Friday, May 5th, 2023 at 12:00 at the Veterans Cemetery in Keithville, LA.
Dutch was born to the late Art and Dora (Vonk) Hagedorn in Patterson, New Jersey. He is preceded in death by his brothers Herm and John. He attended the Eastern Christian School. His high school years he transferred to Midland Park High School and graduated in 1963. He then went on to serve 4 years in the United States Air Force. He met his life partner, Donna, and they were married in 1967.
His survivors include his wife Donna, daughter Lisa, son Richard (Bo) and wife TK. Grandchildren Tori, Jason, Jackson, Brady and Madison. He would never forgive us if we did not mention Shannon, his Christian aide whom he loved dearly. She went above and beyond her responsibilities. Took him to church, shopping and out for lunch. The family owes her their undying gratitude. Dutch leaves behind sisters Helen and Linda (Bill). Quite a few nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. He loved his friends who he held close to his heart.
He will be missed greatly.
