Mr. Richard Earl Hannan, Sr.
Mr. Richard Earl Hannan, Sr., 89, a long-time resident of the South Williamsport area, died Thursday, May 11, 2023.
Richard was born on January 8, 1934, in Montoursville. He was the son of the late Alfred and Mildred Askey Hannan.
Richard was a home builder; he built several homes in the Williamsport area before moving on to build more houses in Sedona, AZ, and later in Pagosa Springs, CO. Later, he returned to the Williamsport area. Richard enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling, and spending time with his family. He was a busy man. He enjoyed driving his wife all around the country. Winters in Florida, then Colorado, during the fall after hunting season, returning to Williamsport for the Holidays, then Florida again.
Richard liked the High Country, the mountains.
Richard was very patriotic; he loved his country and served in the United States Army.
Richard is survived by his wife of 64 years, who he married on April 10, 1959, the former Carol Ann Potter.
Richard is also survived by his sons, Richard E. (Tammy) Hannan, Jr., of Williamsport, PA, and his son Mark D. (Sandra) Hannan, of Troy, PA. His Grandchildren, Jassylnn (Brendan) Andrews of Alberta, Canada; Richard "Nick" (Alison) Hannan of Montoursville, PA; and Sydney Hannan of Troy, PA.
His Great-grandchildren, Avery Hannan; Nolan Hannan; Ainsley Hannan all of Montoursville, PA; also Maverick Andrews; and Daphne Andrews, both of Alberta, Canada.
His brother Kenneth (Linda) Hannan of Williamsport; his twin sisters Barbara (Gene) Coghlin of Sarasota, FL; Marian Hannan of Williamsport, PA.
And a sister-in-law, Judy Hannan of Montoursville, PA.
In addition to his late parents, Richard is preceded in death by his son Timothy Alan Hannan; and his brother William Hannan.
Family and friends are welcome at the Charles M Noll Funeral Home for a visitation on Saturday, May 20, 2023, starting at 5:30 pm, followed by a Funeral Service at 6:30 pm. Mr. John Leininger will officiate.
Flowers are welcome.
