Richard G Heidorn MD, 87, Green Bay, WI passed away peacefully on Nov 8, 2023 at the Jack and Engrid Meng Unity Hospice. Richard was born Aug 12, 1936 in Lombard, IL the son of the late Lester and Lilian Heidorn.
He graduated high school in Norwood, CO and also graduated from Colorado State University, Gunnison, CO and the University of Colorado, Denver.
He went on to practice medicine for 58 years of his life when Covid finally retired him in 2020.
Richard served stateside in the US Army from 1965 - 1967.
He married Aloma Gibson and they had three children Heidi, Rick and Randy. He met Deborah {Kesy) Zimmerman and her daughter Jennifer. They later married and moved to South Dakota where they completed their family with two more children, Cody and Tori.
Richard is survived by his wife of 40 years, Deborah, his six children, Heidi Kincaid, Richard II (Toniette) Heidorn, Randy (Jennifer) Heidorn, Jennifer (Justin) Eimers, Cody (Heather) Heidorn and Tori (Austin) Lechnir. Fifteen grandchildren, Jeff and Isaac Kincaid, Naomi Heidorn, Teah (Jason) Pelliccione, Jessica and Jacob Heidorn, Lily and Zachary Heidorn, Preston, Dawson and Ali Eimers, Raelynn & Everett Heidorn, Bella and Emelia Lechnir.
His joy in life was his family and his many outdoor sports along with reading. If you knew him, you knew he would have a picture to show you or a video. He was one proud grandpa!
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Ascension Home Health, Unity Hospice, Curative Connection and Comfort Keepers for all your help, flexibility and compassionate care during the last weeks and months of his life. Your love and support will always be remembered.
Visitation will be at Meadowbrook Church, 701 Hillcrest Heights, Green Bay, WI from 2-4 PM on Saturday, Nov 18th, a prayer service will be held at 4 PM.
