The world has lost a remarkable soul in Richard Hollis Helms, a man whose generosity knew no bounds and whose kindness touched countless lives. Richard was a beacon of light, always extending his hand to help others, and our family was profoundly blessed to have experienced his boundless hospitality.
One of the most unforgettable memories we cherish is the long weekend Hollis and his wonderful wife graciously hosted us at their home. It wasn´t just an invitation but a heartfelt gesture that allowed us to create memories that will last a lifetime.
The highlight of our visit was the incredible helicopter trip. For many of us, it was our first time flying in such a manner, and it felt like a dream. He shared this extraordinary experience with us, giving us a bird´s-eye view of the world that was both exhilarating and humbling. It was a testament to his spirit of adventure and his desire to share the beauty of life with those around him.
As we reflect on the incredible time we spent with Richard and Teresa, our hearts are filled with immense gratitude. They showed us the true meaning of kindness and left us with a legacy of love and generosity that we will forever hold dear.
May Richard rest in eternal peace, knowing that his legacy lives on in the hearts of those he touched. We are forever grateful for his friendship, generosity, and the beautiful memories he helped create. God bless always.

Dear Helms Family,
Although I am out of the country, I want to express my deepest condolences to the family. I am profoundly saddened by Hollis' passing. He lived life to the fullest building and flying his planes. He was passionate about his work and those who worked with him. It is important for the family to know that Hollis changed the lives of so many, but he especially changed my life and my family's life. I am eternally grateful for Hollis and the opportunities he made possible for me. I am grateful to have shared my thoughts and feelings to Hollis many times throughout the years about how he changed my life. So, it is with a heavy heart that I have to bid him farewell. The pain and suffering are gone. He has received his wings. His legacy lives on! God bless him and may he rest in peace.

I worked for Hollis for over 6 years. He was always patient, generous, and helpful. I miss our walks in Herndon. He was a great boss and very supportive. I am sad his life was cut short so early, but I know he lived his life the way he wanted. Rest in peace, Boss. I´ll think of you every time a helicopter flies overhead.
