Richard Troy Hinckley

Richard Troy Hinckley passed away peacefully at his parent's home in West Valley City, Utah on December 16, 2022 at the age of 47 after a long battle with end stage liver failure. He was born on September 28, 1975 in Salt Lake City to Lowell and Margaret Hinckley. He married the mother of his children, Wendy Hinckley, for 20 years and then was married to his second wife Lisa Anderson for 3 years.
Richard had a long career as a sheet metal journeyman and at Flying J, both on and off. Some of his favorite accomplishments were when he helped build the Gateway in Downtown Salt Lake City and McKay Dee Hospital up in Ogden. When he wasn't working, he had a long list of hobbies and things that he enjoyed such as watching Ghost Adventures (he never missed an episode), his many building projects at home that he enjoyed whether it was small or big, playing billiards, or even putting together puzzles. He also was a die hard NFL Dallas Cowboys fan which is something that carried on with his children and nephews.
He is survived by his 3 children: Alexandra Evensen (Saxon), Tristen Hinckley, Brayden Hinckley, and two grandchildren, Xander Evensen and Leon Hinckley. He is also survived by his 4 siblings: Jodie Larsen (Alan), David Hinckley (Kim), Steve Hinckley, and Kim Hinckley-Messinger as well as many nieces and nephews whom all loved him very much and will miss him greatly. He is preceded in death by his loving parents Lowell and Margaret Hinckley with whom he will be overjoyed to be reunited with.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022 from 6-8PM at Memorial Redwood: 6500 S Redwood Rd. West Jordan, UT. 84123
Graveside services will be scheduled at a later date.
