Richard Edward Holland, 78, of Rossville, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at a local healthcare facility.

Born on January 3, 1947, Richard was the son of the late Jack and Billie Holland. He was a proud graduate of Lakeview High School, Class of 1965, where he played football and competed as a Golden Gloves boxer. Richard later retired from Nissan Brakes after many years of dedicated service.

He was an avid sports fan, especially of Tennessee football, but his greatest joy came from spending time with his beloved son, Cody.

Richard was survived by his son, Cody Holland; niece, Dawn (Carlton) Beard; and great-nephews, Ellison and Connor Beard.

He was also preceded in death by his sister Joan Holland Ellison.

The family would like to thank Hearth Hospice and NHC Fort Oglethorpe for their kindness and compassionate care to Richard.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, September 29, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home.

Condolences may be shared with the family at www.lane-southcrestchapel.com.
