Francie Songer

Francie Headrick Songer, 58, of Ringgold passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, September 23, 2025. Francie had lived most of her life in Ringgold where she attended Ringgold High School. She recently received her associate's degree in supply chain management from Georgia Northwestern Technical College. Francie worked for over 15 years at Walmart on Battlefield Parkway, was owner and operator of Bounce A Lot Playhouse on Battlefield Parkway for 7 years, and she was co-owner of Songer Heating and Air. Francie was recently anointed by Pastor Ron Clouzet with the East Ridge Seventh-day Adventist Church. She was a loving mother and was known for her Baking. She loved to Bake bread and was always trying out new multi-cultural recipes for her family and friends. Francie loved others, she had a gift in making friends easily, and she had a smile that would light up a room.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Songer; mother, Gail Wilhoite Headrick; father, Millard Headrick; niece, Francis Headrick; nephew, Brandon Headrick; great niece, Lydia Rose Headrick; and sister-in-law, Lisa Flowers Headrick.

Survivors include her son, Michael Paul Songer; two sisters, Tamara (Efrain) Cintron and Marie Headrick; two brothers, Millard Wayne Headrick and Paul Michael (Yon Hui) Headrick; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00p.m. in the South Crest Chapel.

Interment will follow in the Dailey Hills Cemetery in Ringgold, GA.

The family will receive friends Friday from 4-8p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to the service at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville, GA.
