Richard G. "Ricky" Holt, III, 56, of Milton passed away on August 7, 2025. He was born in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and moved to Milton, FL with his parents in 1978. He attended school in Santa Rosa County and graduated from Milton High School in 1987.

Ricky joined the U.S. Navy at age 19. Following his time in the military, he spent several years working in construction and roofing. During the 90's, he had his two children, Justice and Mariah and later his daughter added grandchildren to his family during the last 6 ½ years.

Ricky loved sports and played baseball and some football early in his school years. He loved the water and surfing as a teen as well as hanging out with his friends. Going fishing was often something he did to have fun. During the last year of his life, he was living in Cocoa, FL and working a manufacturing job with "All Florida Grilling". He enjoyed being close to the water there and was planning to continue to work there and possibly settle there. He came back to Milton recently to see family and friends for a short visit and passed away in an automobile crash in Baldwin County, AL. Ricky was of the Christian Faith and we plan to be with him again one day in Heaven with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Ricky was preceded in death by his brother, Derek Holt; grandfathers, Richard G. Holt II and Hal Avants; grandmothers, Shirley Palluchini and Billie Forbes; and step grandfather, James Forbes.

Survivors include his father and stepmother, Charles H. and Trish Holt; mother and stepfather, Judy and Phillip McLean; son, Justice Morris/Holt; daughter, Mariah L. Holt; and grandchildren: Noa Ivy Thomas, Eden Elizabeth Miller, and Malcolm Jeremy Miller.

We are heartbroken to lose our Son, Father, and Grandfather at the age of 56, but we are thankful for the years we had together.

Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at Trahan Family Funeral Home, Milton Chapel.

Ricky as a Son, Grandson, Father, Grandfather, and a Child of God. He will be missed by all who knew him.
