Obituary published on Legacy.com by Holden Cremation & Funeral Service - Sparta on Oct. 1, 2025.
Richard Glen Jackson, known affectionately as Rich to his friends and family, left this world on September 23, 2025, at the age of 54. Born in Springfield, Missouri, on August 24, 1971, Rich was a man whose presence was as significant as the legacy he leaves behind. His passing in Nixa, Missouri, marks the end of a life lived with kindness, humor, and an unparalleled ability to fix anything that came into his hands.
Rich was a cherished son of Richard and Deborah Jackson and a devoted father to his sons, Trey P. Jackson, Gabriel Holland and his wife Megan, and Dakota L. Jackson. His role as a brother was treasured by Rocky Jackson and his wife Stacy, Carol Winslow and her husband Kevin, Christy Stone and her husband Phillip, and Carrie Baker and her husband Randy. He was an adored grandfather to Lilly Jackson and a beloved partner to Courtney Schneider. Rich was a beloved nephew to Patrica Melton and held dear memories of his late grandparents, Bertha Deane and Ellis Carter, his nephew Sean M. Winslow, and his daughter Bree Jackson. His passing is also deeply felt by a host of other relatives and friends, whose lives he touched with his enduring warmth and generosity.
Rich spent many years contributing to the family wrecker business, where he applied his remarkable mechanical skills and strong work ethic. His passion for working on and building motorcycles was well-known and respected in the community. Rich could often be found in his garage, surrounded by tools and parts, working on his latest project with a focus that was only matched by the joy he took in sharing his creations with others.
Those who knew Rich will remember him as the kind of man who could elicit laughter in any room with his quick wit and funny stories. His hands were rarely still, always either wrapped around a wrench or gesturing to emphasize a joke. Rich was the epitome of the word 'handy,' and there was no task too big or too small for him to tackle. His kindness was a constant, woven into the fabric of his everyday actions and the care he showed to everyone around him.
As we say goodbye to Rich, we do so with heavy hearts but also with gratitude for the time we were privileged to share with him. His memory will continue to inspire us to live with the same compassion and joy that he brought into our lives. Rich's story is not just one of a life that was, but of a life that continues to influence all who were lucky enough to know him. He was a man of many virtues, a pillar in his community, and most importantly, a beacon of love and light to his family. Rich Jackson's legacy is one of love, laughter, and the indelible mark of a life well-lived. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
