Richard Jarvis, 82, of Albany passed away on Saturday April 12, 2025 at Albany Medical Center. Born in Middletown, NY, he was the son of the late Richard H. and Mary (Dolson) Jarvis.
He proudly served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War.
Richard was employed as a Nursing Assistant for the former Eden Park Nursing Home in Albany.
For their support, the family would like to say a big "Thank You" to their extended families of St. Patrick's in Albany and Sr. Maureen Murphy and the Sisters of St. Joseph.
In addition, the family wishes to say "thank you" to all the nursing home staffs who took care of Richard through the years.
Richard is predeceased by one sister Connie Weathers.
He is survived by his wife Kathleen (Foley) Jarvis, his son Richard Jarvis (Erin), his daughters MaryAnn Jarvis and Dawn Jarvis, his sister Abbie Jones and his two grandchildren Evie Grace and Zoey Mae.
A Celebration of Richard's life will be Saturday April 19, 2025 at 4PM at the Bond Funeral Home 1614 Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Visitation will be from 2-4PM at the funeral home.
Interment with military honors will be at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery at a later date.
