Rich was born July 17, 1947, and went home to be with our Lord on March 18, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Rich was born and raised in Dickinson, North Dakota, graduating in 1965 from Trinity High School in Dickinson. After graduation he moved with his family to Delavan, Wisconsin. He proudly joined and served in the US Air Force.
In 1986 Rich met the love of his life, Jean (nee Karcher) and they were married on November 15 of that year. To this union two daughters, and the joys of his life Lisa Marie and Emma Jean, were born. Rich worked in the automotive world for all of his working years. He was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. He loved to travel, cruises being one of his favorites and absolutely loved the mountains, especially The Great Smokies. He loved hiking and being outdoors with his family. Any summer evening you could find him grilling, always with a beer in his hand.
Rich was the best husband, daddy, Papa, brother, mentor, friend. He will be missed by all that were blessed enough to know him. He loved his family with every inch of his being. His grandkids were his world.
Those left to treasure his love and his life here on earth are his wife, Jean Jedlicka and his daughters: Lisa, and her husband Corey Frahm and Emma, and her husband Patrick King. He also leaves great love and memories with his grandchildren: Edwin Frahm and Lynzi, Colton and Claire King. Also left to cherish his memory are his sisters: Donna (Tom) Gabel, Kathy (Gary) Milske, Joleen (Tom) Swadley; brothers: Ed (Jody) Jedlicka and Alan Jedlicka (Michelle VanCleave). brothers and sisters-in-law: John and Karyn Karcher, Julie and Steve Anhorn, Jeff and Laura Karcher and Jason Karcher. Also left to cherish him are his aunts, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces/nephews and friends, all so dear to his heart.
Rich was welcomed into heaven by his parents, Edward and Edith (nee Buresh) Jedlicka; nephew, Tom Swadley; in-laws, Carol Zabel and Ernest Karcher and special friend, Dave Robinson.
Celebration of Life service will be held at Christ The Rock, US Hwy 10, Menasha, Wisconsin on Saturday, March 23, 2024. Family will greet from 9:00-11:00am, with a Service at 11:00am and lunch to follow.
The family would like to thank everyone for their love and support at this most difficult time. Thank you to the Theda Care system, with a special thank you to the staff on the 7th Floor Oncology at Theda Care Hospital, for their compassion, their care and their understanding. You all, along with Dr. McShane and Amanda, from Theda Care Hospice, walked us through this valley and took such beautiful care of our Richard. Memorials may be directed to the family.
