Richard was a man that enjoyed the outdoors. He loved his horses, baling hay, shooting guns, classic cars, and motorcycles. He was a good guy with a stubborn spirit. Richard attended the United Methodist Church in Ostrander. He was a member of the Moose, the Elks, Masons, and the Teamsters, being that he was a cross-country truck driver as a career. Richard was a man that never gave up and he passed this trait on to his family. He will always be remembered and loved by all who knew him.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Cindy Brammer of Ostrander, Ohio and Connie Jones of Delaware, Ohio; stepdaughter, Sheila Shields of Virginia; grandchildren, Nichole (Nick) Martino, Meghann Cantrell, Bobby Brammer, Shirley (Ross) Tarhan, Richard (Ashley) Jones, Brandon Shields, and Blake Shields; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; stepson, Mark Doyle; sister, Eula Faye; and brother, Eugene.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
