Richard Kmak, 86, of Middletown, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2025.
Born on March 30, 1939, in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, Richard was the son of John and Marguerite Kmak. He worked as a chemical operator at International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF) for nearly 40 years. Despite his long career in the industry, his true passion was carpentry-a master craftsman and handyman by nature, Rich was always willing to lend his skills to anyone in need.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Elizabeth Jenny Kmak, and their four children: Wendy and her husband George, Candy and her husband David, Richard and his wife Carol, and Richaelle and her husband Robert. Rich was the proud grandfather of 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren, all of whom he adored deeply. He is also survived by his sister Helen. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, John and Robert.
Rich will be remembered for his quiet strength, his skillful hands, and his deep dedication to his family. He had a love for gardening and puzzles, and he found great joy in spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His legacy of love, craftsmanship, and family devotion lives on in those who knew and loved him.
