Richard G. Kolbow

Richard G. Kolbow, 89, of Watertown, passed away on August 8, 2025, in Kewaskum.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ixonia with Rev. Joel Free officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Arlington Park Cemetery in Milwaukee. Memorials may be directed to St. Paul's Lutheran School in Ixonia. Richard George Kolbow was born on June 9, 1936, in Milwaukee, the son of Oliver and Hazel (Dietz) Kolbow. He graduated from Pulaski High School in Milwaukee in 1954. On December 28, 1958, Richard married Carolyn R. Sievert in Milwaukee. Together they lovingly raised four children and shared nearly 66 years of marriage before Carolyn's passing on October 31, 2024.
An electrician, Richard worked at Magaw Electric, co-founded TrenKo Electric, and later retired from Magaw. In retirement, Richard found fulfillment in raising beef cattle, restoring antique tractors, and taking on significant remodeling projects to the family home, farm buildings, and farm equipment. He enjoyed attending "Breakfast on the Farm" events and antique tractor shows. Richard was a longtime member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ixonia and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW).
Richard is survived by his children: Steven Kolbow of Reno, NV, Coralee (Timothy) Henning of Kewaskum, Matthew (Lisa Seebach-Kolbow) Kolbow of Colgate, and Joseph (Mo Magdy) Kolbow of Brooklyn, NY; grandchildren: Joshua (Fiona Bao Hoa Graham) Graham, David (Elena Mitchell) Lubling-Kolbow, Anna Henning, Elizabeth Henning, Josh (Nicole) Kolbow, Maghan (Kat) Kolbow, Georgeann (Calvin) Kranig, Autumn Seebach, and Amber Seebach; great-grandchildren: Archimedes Graham, Amethyst Graham, Mykie Kolbow, Zoey Kolbow, and Theodore Kranig; his siblings: Kenneth (Jerri) Kolbow of Hubertus, Robert (Becky) Kolbow of Mapleton, John (Deb) Kolbow of Erin, and Sandra Kolbow of Union Grove; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In addition to his wife, Richard was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Eve Lubling, and his nephew, Jacob Kolbow.
