RICHARD W. KRAYESKI
Richard W. Krayeski, 64, of Great Bend, PA peacefully entered into rest on June 22, 2022 following a brief battle with cancer, surrounded by his beloved family.
Rick is survived by his dedicated loving wife of 36 years, Pamela; his four sons, Robert Zembek, Jason (Cary) Zembek, Jason (Brandi) Krayeski, and Brad (Heather) Krayeski; five grandsons, Alex, Brandon, Carson, Kamden, and Kendel; two sisters, Linda (Terry) Hall and Carol (Tom) Blawn; and several nieces, nephews, and extensive extended family. He was predeceased by his parents, Ed and Janet Krayeski; and by a brother, Gary Krayeski.
Rick graduated from Blue Ridge High School in 1975 and began his career with Eureka Tent and Awning, where he met his soul mate, Pamela. From there he worked at Brenton Industries, Fonda, NY, to Birch Cutting in Scranton, PA, to First Option, where he finished his career. Rick was full of energy and cared for others. He was a certified EMT with Hallstead/Great Bend Ambulance Service, a volunteer fireman with Hallstead and then Great Bend Fire Departments, a dive rescuer with Scott Township, and worked closely with the Susquehanna County Coroner's office. He enjoyed photography and photographed many weddings over the years. Rick and Pam were foster parents through Susquehanna County Kids Peace. Rick and Pam co-owned Krayeski's Country Café in Great Bend for 18 years.
With all of that, Rick still managed to enjoy time with his family, camping along the Susquehanna River in Kirkwood, and making life long friends. Rick had quite a sense of humor and had a way of telling stories.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Please consider a memorial contribution in his memory to your local volunteer service, your local humane society, or enjoy "just a cheeseburger" at Burger King to remember him.
