Steve was a wonderful person. I enjoyed our conversations together as we worked on his online course material for Cognella and I will remember him fondly!
His family and friends will remain in my prayers.

Dr. Hallam was my Strategic Management professor during the fall of 2014. He was inspiring on a professional level as he guided us through our capstone class but even more so on a personal level as he shared his journey that began after his diagnosis. He was inspiring and led us to see past our barriers to achieve our goals.

I remember Dr. Hallam when he was a Dean at the CBA. Although I didn't have him as a professor, I knew him from the college. I'm sorry for your loss. May eternal light shine upon him.

In the 80s/early 90s, I worked for Steve & Terri Hallam at NIU in Undergrad Studies in Business. Later, I worked for Steve in Grad Studies.
Steve Hallam was a godly man, who adored his wife and children. May the Good Lord surround his family in His comforting arms while Steve, himself, is welcomed into His loving kingdom.
Blessings and condolences,
Sally & Clyde W

Teri, I hope you see this. I am one of Dr. Hallam's most recent students. I had him for management last fall (2016). He was and is one of my top professors since I have started college in 2013. I could not imagine a better professor to teach me the things inside the classroom as well as about the world around us. If I remember one thing forever that he told us, it is to always read and educate yourself. I can't imagine a better message from a better role model. He joked that he had a better home library than the university in Russia he taught at-which made me chuckle. I also want an extraordinary library in my home one day, God willing. At the end of the day, I know that all souls will be taken away from this earth and that is something we have to live with. It saddens me to have to know this. I received the kindest letter of recommendation from Dr. Hallam not too long ago and I will forever cherish it.

Dear Hallam Family, I am so saddened to hear of your loss. Margaret, I remember you and your mom from JAWS Camp many years ago. I always enjoyed talking to Steve when he would ride on the bike next to me or hang out in the whirlpool at the Health and Wellness Center. I so admired his strength and his positive attitude when we rode together (well, he was way ahead of me) in the Velasano 2 years ago. I will ride in his memory this year. All my sympathy, Sue Parker, LifrStyles Aquatic Manager

We knew Steve and Terri in DeKalb, IL. We enjoyed sharing our faith together and working together on committees in St. Paul's Episcopal Church. We also all worked together in the College of Business where Steve was Associate Dean and Terri was a counselor. Dick worked closely with Steve since Steve was in the Dean's Office. We enjoyed their children as they were growing up. Condolences to all of the family.

Dear Steve, i enjoyed meeting you while we were riding bikes a few years ago. You always had a warm smile and were easy to engage in conversation. I also found your openness and willingness to send out emails regarding the status of your treatment and progress to be quite inspirational. The doors of heaven will swing wide open for a guy with such enormous class and congeniality. RIP Steve.

Truly saddened by the news. One of the great professors of my academia.
May not have been the easiest professor, but he was tough because he cared about the success of his students!
Many thanks to Dr. Hallam!
