It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Richard Elliott Krupnick, lovingly known as Rick, Ricky, Rickles, and Papa Bear. He entered eternal rest on September 30, 2025, at the age of 71, in the comfort of his home in
Lakeville, Massachusetts, following a courageous battle with heart failure that lasted over four decades.
Born on June 2, 1954, in Boston, MA, Rick was the cherished son of the late Steven H. and Roberta "Bobbie" Krupnick. He graduated from Randolph High School and built a life filled with love and joy in Lakeville alongside his devoted wife, Lorraine D. (Pearson) Krupnick, and their beloved daughter, Jenna Krupnick. The home they constructed together forty years ago became a sanctuary of laughter and cherished memories.
Throughout his life, Rick nurtured his passion for vehicles, working alongside his father in the family-operated cab, courier, and livery service. His interests extended beyond his profession; he and Lorraine created lasting memories through their travels and gatherings. Rick was known for hosting unforgettable pool parties and cookouts, where family and friends gathered to celebrate life and enjoy the beauty of his meticulously maintained yard.
A dedicated sports enthusiast, Rick devoted much of his leisure time cheering on his beloved Boston teams-the Patriots, Red Sox, Celtics, and Bruins. His spirit excelled, especially during games attended with his daughter Jenna, who was not just his child but also his best friend.
Rick was a man of many passions, including an affinity for the excitement of gambling. He delighted in his daily trips to the corner store for KENO and scratch tickets, reflecting his vibrant personality and zest for life.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Lorraine; his devoted daughter, Jenna; his sister, Donna (Mark); brothers Bruce (Mary), Bryan (Peggy), and Michael; sister-in-law Loretta (the late Mark); brothers-in-law Ronnie (Cheryl), and Stephen (Susan); along with numerous nieces and nephews, Jay (Tiffany), Randy, Lauren, Sandy (Scott), Becky (Jim), Marky (Mili), and Matt (Debbie), many great-nieces and nephews, and countless family and friends.
Dedicated to honoring Rick's life, visiting hours will be held in his memory on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, at the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, located at 280 Bedford Street,
Lakeville, MA 02347. Family and friends are invited to Barrett's Olde Scotland Links Golf Course 695 Pine Street, Bridgewater, MA 02324, starting at 3PM.
We invite all those whose lives were touched by Rick to join us in celebrating a remarkable man who will forever remain in our hearts.
