Richard "Dick" Kula, age 82, of Montgomery, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 7, 2025.

Beloved husband of 56 years to Kathleen Kula, Dick was a devoted father to Melissa (Alan) Roell and Kristel (Brian) Graham, and a proud grandfather to Isabella, Madeline, Hailey, and Kyle. He was born on January 14, 1943, to the late Earl and Frances Kula, and is survived by his sister, Mary Ann Williams.

Dick was raised on a farm in Iowa, and was very proud to be an Iowan and a Hawkeye fan. The first in his family to attend college, he attended Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa, where he earned his Bachelors Degree in history. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, where he helped rebuild roads in Korea. He went on to enjoy a successful career as a Senior Umbrella Underwriter, and after 30 years of dedication in his life he retired from Great American Insurance Company.

Dick loved the city of Cincinnati, proudly supporting the Bengals and the Reds. He was proud to own a home in Montgomery, OH. He loved his family, his dogs, cooking on the grill, taking car rides, road trips and vacations at the beach, and had a talent for telling long stories. Most of all he adored his granddaughters and time spent with family.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, beginning at 8:45 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church 8815 E. Kemper Road, Cincinnati, OH 45249.,service in The Chapel, entrance off Weller Rd, door 5.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati, the Cincinnati Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (CABVI), or the SPCA.

Dick will be laid to rest at Hopewell Cemetery in Montgomery, Ohio. Online condolences may be shared at www.strawserfuneralhome.com.
