Richard Kunath Obituary
Richard Tolle Kunath, Seminole, OK resident, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2024 in Seminole, at the age of 92. Richard was born on June 4, 1932 in Santa Monica, CA to Walter and Helen (Tolle) Kunath. He grew up and spent most of his life in Lomita, CA. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps in the Korean war on the USS Essex. Richard was a sandal maker and owned Strictly Leather.
Richard was a horse trainer in his younger days, and supported his daughter, Cari Kunath-Witt in her love and desire to follow in his footsteps with training horses. He was a master craftsman with wood and leather. He enjoyed motocross with his sons, Cooper and Kit. Richard will forever be remembered as an amazing dad!
Richard is survived by his two sons, Cooper Kunath and wife, Cheryl and Kit Kunath; daughter, Cari Kunath-Witt and husband, Eddy Witt; three grandchildren, Joey Arbolida, Garrett Kunath and Leland Kunath; sister, Diane Kunath; and many other family and friends.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Helen Kunath and brother, Russell Kunath.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.
