Richard Legnini

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father and grandfather, Richard "Dickie" Legnini, who passed away at the age of 89 after a brief illness, on September 6, 2025 surrounded by his family. Born on December 11, 1935 in the Bronx, Richard lived a long, full life marked by the unwavering belief in his Catholic faith. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Antoinette, and was a devoted husband to her during their 25-year marriage and throughout her illness. Dickie was a loving father to Richie, Ann and son-in-law Mike, and a proud grandfather to Michael (Lorena), Brittany, Annie and Richie. In the last few years of his life, Dickie lived with his family in Connecticut. Although he missed 'the neighborhood', he enjoyed being surrounded by his family – especially his grandchildren who loved listening to him reminisce. Dickie was known for his love of storytelling and his zest for life. He will be missed and forever remembered by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
