Richard LeMaster Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Miller Funeral Home - Roxbury on Feb. 20, 2023.

Richard David “Dave” LeMaster, 76, of Alexandria, passed away early Monday morning on February 20, 2023 at his home.

He was born May 11, 1946, the son of the late Norman and Hazel (Gregory) LeMaster. Dave married Sandy (Williams) on November 22, 1965 in Warsaw, Illinois. Sandy preceded him in death on October 23, 2022.

Dave had worked at Frank Miller in Ft. Madison, Iowa for many years until his retirement in 2009. He enjoyed anything to do with the outdoors from fishing, hunting, gardening, riding his Harley and in his earlier years camping and traveling with his wife and family. Dave and Sandy also enjoyed playing poker and gambling as entertainment. Dave was ornery and enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed by those who knew him.

He is survived by his daughter Lori LeMaster of Lockridge, Iowa, granddaughter Megan (Matthew Keller) LeMaster, from New London, Iowa, and great grandson, Eli David Keller, Brother: Ronald L. (Marsha) Norvell of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, Two Sisters: Norma R. Rye of Revere and Dorothy E. Sanchez of Elkins, Arkansas.

In addition to his parents and wife, Dave was preceded in death by his brother: Charles N. LeMaster, Two Sisters: Anna R. King and Tina M. Lucas and his Uncle Teddy.

In accordance with Dave’s wishes no services will be conducted and cremation rites will be observed. The Wilson & Triplett Funeral Home in Kahoka has been entrusted with the care and arrangements. Memorial contributions in memory of Dave are suggested to the charity of the donor’s choice.
