On April 2, 2025, Richard "Rick" A. Litzinger passed away, surrounded by love. He was the devoted husband of 52 years to his high school sweetheart, Carol L. (née Hamilton) Litzinger, and the proud and loving father of Charles H. Litzinger, with whom he shared a deep bond and countless cherished memories.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence A. Litzinger and Carmen Elaine (née Kauffman) Litzinger; his brothers, Lawrence L. Litzinger and his wife Marie and Kenneth G. Litzinger and his late wife Gitta; and his brother-in-law Barry Hamilton. He is lovingly remembered by his brother-in-law Warren Hamilton and his wife Kathleen, and by his dear nieces and nephews: Lawrence Litzinger and his wife Valerie, Janice Helliwell and her husband Will, Karen Blevins and her husband Patrick, Heidi Terry, Renee Litzinger, Christine Hamilton, Katie Hamilton, and Karen Hamilton, as well as many great-nieces and nephews who will continue to carry his memory in their hearts.
Rick will be fondly remembered for his spirited personality, infectious sense of humor, and fun-loving, ornery charm. He had a remarkable ability to bring laughter into any room and joy into the lives of those around him. A devoted father, Rick and Charles shared a special bond through their mutual love of building projects and antique cars-time spent together that Charles will always treasure.
A man of many talents, Rick was also musically gifted and enjoyed playing the drums. In the late 1960s, he was a member of a local band alongside close friends, creating memories that echoed with music and friendship.
Rick's legacy of love, laughter, and dedication to family will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
Family and friends are invited to gather at the Lassahn Funeral Home, Inc., 7401 Belair Road in Overlea, on Sunday, April 6, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with funeral services beginning at 6:00 PM. Interment will be held privately.
