Richard "Mick" Lorimer

Richard "Mick" Lee Lorimer, age 90, of Holly, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2024. Born the son of Frank and Luella (Gautz) Lorimer on March, 21, 1934 in Holly, where he was raised and resided until his retirement from GM. Richard married the love of his life Thyra Kimmel in November 10, 1956 together they had 3 daughters, 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He found joy in bowling, golfing, gardening, country music and John Wayne movies. He loved family, fishing and a good beer. Richard spent his retirement traveling the US with Thyra from the east coast to the west coast. They settled down in Florida for 23 years before moving back to Michigan during 2020. His memory will be cherished by his wife, Thyra Jean Lorimer; daughters, Rene (Keith) Lucius, Connie Lorimer and sister, Maxine Harding. He was preceded in death by daughter, Kim Forman; brother, Bud Lorimer and sisters, Marge Hearl and Lucille England. A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024 from 5PM until time of funeral service at 6PM at Dryer Funeral Home of Holly.
