Richard H. Lund

Richard H. Lund of West Hartford, beloved husband of Ann Marie (Sorrentino) Lund and cherished father, grandfather, father-in-law, and friend passed away on December 6th.

Born in Hartford to the late Henry and Clara Lund, Richard was raised in West Hartford and graduated from William H. Hall High School. He attended the University of Hartford and served in the Air Force Reserve for 4 years.

Richard is survived by the love of his life and best friend Ann Marie, son Gregory of West Hartford, daughter Tracy, son-in-law Jeffrey, and grandsons Jack and Charlie Rotella of Wellesley, MA.

Richard spent most of his life working in the manufacturing industry. He began his apprenticeship at Chandler Evans and then moved to sales at Pratt & Whitney and General Electric. He later formed his own company, Lund Associates, where he worked with aerospace clients and specialized tool makers providing materials to numerous manufacturing companies.

Richard leaves a legacy of kindness, honesty, and integrity rarely seen in any era that will be missed by all who knew him.

The family wishes to recognize, with love and gratitude, Cutie Lyn, his caregiver the past 3 years.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Richard on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at 10am at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 872 Farmington Avenue, West Hartford, CT. Friends and relatives are requested to meet directly at the church. Burial with military honors will follow in Fairview Cemetery, 200 Whitman Avenue, West Hartford, CT.
