Rich Lyman, a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend who touched the hearts of many, passed away peacefully at home on July 4, 2024, in Monee, IL. He was born on August 13, 1937. Richard's life will be celebrated in a Memorial Gathering and Memorial Service to be held on July 18, 2024, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Frankfort, IL. (details provided below).

Rich graduated from St. Rita High School in Chicago, IL. He began work with his father in their family business. Later he started many business ventures of his own through which he supported his family. Throughout his years, he touched the lives of many with his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering love for his family. His sense of humor and playful nature will be missed by all who knew him.

Rich was preceded in death by his daughter Jane Jackson, grandson Steven Larsen and his parents Frances and Raymond Lyman. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, Children: Michael (Elizabeth) Lyman, Laura (Michael) Beck, Richard (Kathy) Lyman; Grandchildren: Brian, Sarah, Will, Alyssa, Kaitlin, Joe and Brianna; and 4 great-grandchildren who will cherish his memory forever. Richard was also a cherished Brother of Marilyn Reilly of Burr Ridge IL, James Lyman of Crestwood IL, and Bernadine Patterson of Cookson, OK.

Richard's legacy is not just in the ties of family but also in the friendships he nurtured and the hearts he touched along the way.

As we say goodbye to Rich, let us hold onto the memories of his love and the light he brought into our lives. May his spirit find eternal peace as we honor his remarkable life filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments shared with those dear to him.
