Richard H. Lynam
November 30, 1931 – July 23, 2025

Richard H. Lynam, a devoted servant of God and beloved husband, father, and grandfather, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 23, 2025, in The Dalles, Oregon, at
the age of 93.

On June 8, 1957, Richard married the love of his life, Ellen Lynam (Maule). Together, they shared 68 years of marriage marked by deep love, unwavering commitment, and a shared passion for ministry and the gospel.

For 63 years, Richard faithfully served in full-time ministry, proclaiming the good news of salvation by grace through faith-plus nothing. His life was a radiant testimony to his Lord, as
he shepherded others with kindness, wisdom, and humility, always pointing to the truth of God's grace.
Richard is survived by his loving wife, Ellen Lynam, and their children: Richard Lynam, Scott Lynam, and Susan Moore. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the faith he shared, and the family he loved dearly.

A funeral memorial service will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025, at 4:00 PM, at Fossil Baptist Fellowship Church with a graveside service to follow at Fossil IOOF Cemetery. Friends and
loved ones are invited to gather and celebrate a life well-lived in faithful service to Christ.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Richard's name to either the Fossil Baptist Fellowship Church or the Hoosier Hills Baptist Camp.

Sweeney Payton Mortuary has been entrusted with the arrangements. Please leave your condolence messages for the family below.

Richard often said he was "saved by grace, through faith, plus nothing." He now rests in the eternal presence of the One he so faithfully served. "Well done, good and faithful servant."
