Richard Marchinkoski Obituary
Richard William Marchinkoski , 86 of Pittsford passed away on January, 8, 2026. “Rick” was born and raised in West Rutland, the son of William and Anna (Lipnickas) Marchinkoski.
He was a graduate of West Rutland High School, class of 1958. He enlisted in the United States Navy after high school and served for 10 years. He was stationed on the USS Saratoga.
He was the owner of Skiaire, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration in Pittsford until his retirement.
He is survived by his son Daniel Marchinkoski (Stefanie) of Woodbridge Virginia, his daughter Michelle Sloan (Wayne) of Tucson, Arizona.; Two grandchildren Zachary and Ian Marchinkoski. Also by his brother John (Janet) of West Rutland and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents, brother Edward, and sisters: Cecelia Gorruso, Emily Czachor, Anna Tumielewicz and Irene Cavacas; several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Nicole Stacey of Senior Helping Seniors and the Pines for their continued care and support.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday January 15, 2026 at 11 A.M at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church in West Rutland, with The Rev. Richard Crawley as the Celebrant.
Burial will be at a later date in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Rutland County Humane Society at 765 Stevens Road, Pittsford, VT 05763
Arrangements are under the direction of Clifford Funeral Home.
