Richard Lee “Richie” Marzec, at the age of 44, who departed this life on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at Ahuja Hospital in Beachwood, Ohio, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Richie was born on January 12, 1982, in Garfield Heights, Ohio. He leaves behind his beloved children: Gabriella, Mykenzie, and Romeo. He is also survived by his father, Alan Marzec; his siblings, Kim Marzec and Alan Marzec II (Amanda); his nephew, Nathan; and his partner, Heather Hetzel. He was preceded in death by his mother, Debra Marzec.
Richie was a devoted family man with a passion for fishing and hunting. He was a talented tradesman, specializing in flooring, tile, and carpentry. Throughout his treatment, his positive attitude and unwavering courage inspired all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Cremation has taken place, and details regarding a memorial service will be shared once they have been finalized. In lieu of flowers, we kindly ask that memorial contributions be made to assist with Richie’s final expenses through Venmo @alan-marzec.
