Richard Lynnwood "Ricki" McKee, 74, of Clanton, Alabama passed away September 9, 2025, at Cedar Ridge in Clanton, Alabama.

He was born July 22, 1951, in Alabama, son of the late Guy and Kelli McKee. Ricki was a graduate of Chilton County High School, received a Bachelor's Degree from Auburn University (Roll Tide!), received a Master's Degree from the University of Montevallo, then returned to CCHS where he taught English for 37 years.

He spent many years with a dedicated local officiating crew, officiating numerous sports all over the state of Alabama.  He coached golf for CCHS; sponsored Junior class, proms, and SGA; he created and directed the Blast from the Past with Sheri; and lived a lifetime as a devoted Alabama fan.

He was an expert spinner of yarns, exaggerating to the point of absurdity, all in the quest for a good laugh with any company he kept. He took great pride his children, grandchildren, and all of his "kids" from the decades of teaching and running the Blast.

Surviving are his Wife, Taresa Sharon "Sheri" McKee; Son, Scott (Brittany) McKee; Daughter, Leslie McKee (Drew) Bowers; Granddaughters, Tucker Bowers, Carly McKee, Cora Bowers; Sisters, Misti McKee (Tony) Whaley, Brigette McKee; and a host of other family.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Guy McKee; Mother, Kelli McKee; Brother, Mike McKee.

Friends will be received Sunday, September 14, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Clanton First Methodist Church.

Services will be held Sunday, September 14, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Clanton First Methodist Church with Rev. Wes Kelley and Rev. Rob West officiating.

Entombment will follow in Martin Memorial Mausoleum in Clanton, Alabama.
