Richard Arthur Moore, Sr., 72, of Hamilton, NJ passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2025 surrounded by his loving family at home. Richard, also known as "Killa" was born in Trenton, NJ, Richard was a lifelong area resident. He was an honorably discharged U.S. Army veteran. He was a hard worker who at times worked two jobs. He worked for Congoleum, Friction Division where he was their union president, he delivered furniture for Home Furniture, and his last job was a stocker for McCaffrey's Food Market on N. Harrison St. in Princeton, NJ where he was employed for about 20 years prior to his retirement.
Richard enjoyed playing softball, wiffleball, watching his favorite sport of baseball and rooting on the "Fighting Phils". Richard loved trips to the casinos to gamble, and playing quoits.
Richard was kind hearted and was always helping the less fortunate, especially the homeless providing whatever he could whether it was food and/or money. He had a love for animals and would feed any animal. Richard was the clown of the family and had a great sense of humor, always bringing laughter to the room.
Richard was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He loved nothing more than time spent with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren.
Richard is the son of the late George and Faith (Stout) Moore; the grandfather of the late Richard A. Moore, III; the brother of the late Penny Moore and the uncle of the late, Paul Wojciechowicz.
Richard is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Barbara P. (Monroe) Moore; his two beloved children, Tammy and husband Brian Addis, and Richard A. Moore, Jr.; four cherished grandchildren, Joshua and Jasiah Moore, Connor Addis, and Makenzie Chamberlain; his brother, George Moore; two brothers-in-law, Richard Monroe Jr. and wife Madeline "Sandy", and Carl Monroe and wife Lisa; two sisters-in-law, Marion "Doll" and husband Johnny Castro, and Helen "Puggy" Tamburo; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Monday, June 16, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercerville Rd., Hamilton, NJ 08619. Prayer services will be held at noon followed by burial in Greenwood Cemetery, 1800 Hamilton Ave., Hamilton, NJ.
