In Loving Memory of Richard P. Morales May 21, 1965 – June 12, 2025
Richard P. Morales, 60, of Las Cruces, New Mexico, was called home on June 12, 2025. Born and raised in Las Cruces, Richard remained deeply rooted in the community he loved throughout his life.
He was the beloved son of the late Ramon Morales Sr. and Josie P. Marez. A devoted and loving father, Richard is survived by his children: Amy Morales, Richard Morales Jr., Ashley Rae Morales, Josie Ochoa Morales, and Richard Morales Gonzales. His children were the light of his life and his greatest pride.
Richard also leaves behind a large and close-knit family:

Richard was a talented mechanic and a true jack of all trades, known for helping anyone in need-whether family, friend, or neighbor. He was dependable, honest, and deeply loved by those who knew him. His warm smile, kind heart, and generous spirit made a lasting impact on everyone he met.
He was a Christian man who carried his faith with humility and strength. Richard was more than a brother and father-he was a trusted friend, a loyal uncle, and a steady, loving presence in the lives of many. Family meant everything to him, and he shared an especially close bond with his brothers and sisters. He treasured time spent with them and found joy in the simple moments they shared.
A public viewing will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025, at Perches La Paz Funeral Home, 555 W. Amador, Las Cruces, New Mexico, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, with a memorial service from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
A family gathering will follow at Valley View Elementary Cafeteria, where all are welcome. Please bring your favorite dish or dessert to share in remembrance and fellowship.
Richard will be remembered as a great father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. His love, laughter, and loyalty will remain in our hearts forever. Though we grieve his absence, we rejoice in knowing he is now in the presence of the Lord.
