Beloved son of the late Robert C. Murphy, Sr. and May Elinda Murphy (nee Lloyd). Devoted brother of Agnes Knee (Gerald), Robert C. Murphy, Jr. (the late Patricia), Thomas J. Murphy, Teresa A. Murphy, David P. Murphy, and the late Michael Murphy. Dear uncle of 7 and great uncle of 4. Nephew of MaryLou Burkhauser.
Richard worked for the Voorhees USPS for over 30 years. He was very handy and could fix anything. Richard enjoyed saltwater fishing in his spare time.
There will be a viewing from 9am to 11am on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE.
Funeral service 11am at the funeral home. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery, Chews Landing. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Richard's memory to the charity of the donor's choice.

Dear cousins, I am so sorry for the loss of Richard. I will always remember him fondly as Jughead, like from the Archie's. He was always so tall and lanky, all arms and legs when we were young.
