In Loving Memory of Richard Wadih Nassar December 23, 1937 – July 31, 2025

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Richard Wadih Nassar, who entered into the hands of our Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at the age of 87. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Richard's legacy of love, faith, and dedication will be remembered by all who knew him.

He was deeply involved in the El Paso community, where his generosity, dedication, and passion for service touched countless lives through charity events, civic organizations, and educational scholarships. He took great pride in his Lebanese heritage and remained deeply connected to his Christian roots. His strong faith led him to serve for many years as a deacon at First Baptist Church, where he touched countless lives through his ministry earning him an honorary Doctor of Humanities Degree.

He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Saada and Wadih Nassar, and his dear brother, Sami Nassar.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 53 years, Nina R. Nassar; his children: Eddie Nassar (Linda), Sami Nassar, Richard Nassar Jr. (Valeria), and Danny Nassar; and his adored grandchildren: Sebastian, Edward, Maya, and Antonella. He is also survived by his loving siblings: Yolla Abiad, Milad Nassar, and Anis Nassar, along with many extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m., at Sunset Funeral Home-West at 480 N. Resler, El Paso, Texas 79912. A Celebration of Life will take place on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., at First Baptist Church, 805 Montana Ave, El Paso, Texas 79902. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of the Valley in 4900 McNutt Rd, Santa Teresa, NM 88008.

Funeral services are entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-West.
