Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ferguson Funeral Home - Plain City on Oct. 1, 2025.
Richard Nolley passed away on August 19, 2025, at the age of 62. Richard was known for his magnetic presence, sharp wit, and larger-than-life personality. He was never afraid to be himself and always left a lasting impression on those around him.
Richard formed friendships that grew into lifelong brotherhoods. He cherished these relationships and nurtured them throughout his life. He was deeply loyal to his friends and valued the memories they made together.
Richard loved his family and treasured every opportunity to spend time with them. He was teasing and playful with the kids in the family, and they always had a special place in his heart. Some of his happiest moments were spent at Lake Erie, sharing long conversations on the deck with Aunt Patsy and Tom.
A knowledgeable sports fan, he enjoyed fishing, golfing; especially his annual golf trips to Maggie Valley, and cheering on his beloved Cleveland Browns. He lived authentically and colorfully, which was expressed through his love of tie-dye, rock concerts, and his one-of-a-kind sense of humor.
Above all, Richard will be remembered for the relationships he built and the countless lives he touched.
Richard is survived by his daughter, Hannah Nolley; aunt, Patsy Kirby (Tom Pollock); sister, Susie (Scott) Haskins; brother, Sean (Robyn) Desjardins; nieces and nephews, Adam (Tory) Smyers, Matthew Smyers, Emily and Ben Haskins, Maxwell, Natalie, and Abigail DesJardins; and great nieces, Olivia and Margaret Smyers;
