Mark Allen "Harley" Davis, 66, of
Plain City, Ohio, passed away on September 16, 2025. Born on December 14, 1958, in Columbus, Ohio, Mark lived a life defined by hard work, curiosity, and a deep devotion to his family.
A proud graduate of Marysville High School's Class of 1978, Mark went on to build a remarkable career at Goodyear in Marysville. Over the course of 41 years, he became a respected and reliable presence within the company before retiring in 2020. His dedication and work ethic left a lasting impression on colleagues and friends alike.
Mark was known for his boundless knowledge and hands-on skills-truly a jack of all trades. Whether he was woodworking in his shop, wrenching on machines, or sharing his passion for Subarus with anyone who would listen, he approached every task with enthusiasm and precision. He found joy in teaching others what he knew and took pride in passing along his expertise.
His love for adventure was evident in his time spent riding his Harley and exploring new places. But above all else, Mark cherished being an incredible grandfather. His grandchildren-Jesiah, Ethan, Bentley, Isaac, Myles, Mila, and Zayne-were the light of his life. He shared countless moments with them that will be treasured forever.
Mark is survived by his beloved wife Karen Davis; daughter Jennifer Short (Patrick); son Justin Davis (Shelby); mother Dorothy Davis; brother Jim Davis (Mary Jo); sister Scarlet Konkoskia (David); mother-in-law Nancy Rider; brothers-in-law Phil Rider (Wendy) and Bob Robert (Vicki); sister-in-law Vickie Rider; and many nieces and nephews who admired him deeply.
He was preceded in death by his father John Davis; father-in-law Dick "Doc" Rider; and brother-in-law Rick Rider.
While fighting a courageous battle with cancer for the past 5 years. Mark could be found in the garden or his garage building something. He enjoyed keeping his mind busy while never losing hope.
Mark passed in his home surrounded by his loved ones.
Mark's legacy lives on through the lessons he taught, the laughter he shared, and the love he gave so freely. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him. A Celebration of Life will be held on October 5, 2025, from 03:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Pastime Park 370 N Chillicothe Street.
