With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life well-lived, we announce the passing of our beloved Richard Robert Old, a devoted husband, father, son and friend, who entered into eternal rest on September 14th 2025.
Richard was a man of unwavering faith whose love for God shone through in all he did. He lived with love, integrity and a quiet strength that uplifted everyone around him. His life was a reflection of the values he held dear: faith, family, and unconditional love.
A true family man, Richard cherished his role as a loving husband to Hannah Old, with whom he shared many beautiful years of marriage. Together, they built a home filled with laughter and prayer. He was a proud father of RaeLynn Grace, Richard Robert Jr (RJ), Roman Kane, and a doting step-father to Noah Ryan Moreno, each of whom will carry pieces of his heart and wisdom. In addition, he is lovingly survived by his brothers Clayton Old, Levie Old, sister Romary, father Levie Old, mother Cristina Old, and his additional family: Leila Old, Joel Murphy, Dakota and Janelle Ross, Alyssa Murphy, and many nieces and nephews. Richard is preceded in death by his brother Edgar.
Richard was a true-blooded American through and through. His core values were Faith, Family and Freedom. He loved the simple joys in life- a warm home-cooked meal around the supper table, heartfelt conversations, everything outdoors, spending time with his family and Sunday mornings in church praising the Lord. His guidance, presence and deep-rooted faith will continue to inspire all who knew him.
Though he departed from this world, his love lives on in every life he touched. His memory will be cherished in every smile, every story shared, and every quiet moment of prayer. As the scripture says in 2 Timothy 4:7, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." Richard is finally in the arms of his father, as he always wanted to see the face of Jesus and be wrapped in the arms of the creator of the world.
He leaves behind his loving family and a legacy of faith and compassion that will never fade. He always told his wife, Hannah, "Remember to keep the good, and weed out the bad."
"Come to me all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28
