Richard Pilecki passed away suddenly on Wednesday December 1st, 2021. He was 52 years old.
Born in Passaic to Tadeusz and Wieslawa (Barbara) Pilecki, Richard traveled across the country, living in Colorado and throughout New Jersey before ultimately settling in Westfield with his family.
An electrician by trade, Richard was a skilled craftsman and artist who put care and creativity into every project he worked on, whether it was home repairs or building a custom playhouse. Richard never hesitated to extend his assistance in any and every way he was needed. He loved sharing his knowledge and always did so with unfailing patience and humor.
Richard was predeceased by his father, Tadeusz, as well as his grandparents.
He is survived by his mother, Wieslawa (Barbara) Pilecki; his sister, Michelle Werner, her husband Todd, and their children Makayla, Claire, and Jake; his brother, Andrew Pilecki, and his wife Elsamarie; and by his furry friends Juneau and Ellie.
Friends and family will gather between 2 & 5 pm on Sunday December 5th in the funeral home. A funeral mass will begin at 11:30 am on Monday December 6th in St. Helen Roman Catholic Church, 1600 Rahway Ave. in Westfield. Burial will follow in Holy Cross cemetery in North Arlington.
In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions in Richard's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the American Heart Association.
