SHELBY: Richard "Dick" Poston, 79, died Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at Atrium Health Cleveland. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Clyde and Ruby Warren Poston. Dick was a member of Zoar Baptist Church, where he enjoyed tending to the nursey. He owned and operated Detail Chemical and Paper and was an active member of the Buckmasters Organization. He enjoyed spending time at the beach, and hunting, fishing and going to bowl. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Sadie Raines; first wife, Carol Poston; and special friend, Harold Cook. He is survived by his loving wife and caregiver, Amelia Daves Poston of the home; daughters, Leanne Hartman and husband Jason of Shelby and Katie Ringley and husband Tanner of Charlotte; son, Matthew Raines and wife Juleigh of Waco; sister, Anita Kiser and husband Dean of Surfside Beach, SC; grandchildren, Caroline Hartman, Chase Hartman, Jackson, Sawyer and Cooper Raines; sisters-in-law, Melanie Wallace and husband Jeff and Angela Kendrick and husband Jason; special friends, Gene and Becky Cook; and extended family, Lara Hollifield and husband Brian, Chris Kiser, Jessica Yarboro, Jacob Wallace and wife Heather, Celeste Kendrick, Tyler Kendrick, Jase Kendrick, Andrew Yarboro, Lainey Yarboro and Lachlan Wallace. Funeral services will be held 2:00PM, Saturday, February 26, 2022, at Zoar Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dr. John Ware officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service, in the church. Burial will follow in Cleveland Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Zoar Baptist Church, 1740 S.
